Friends of Chandor Gardens Bimonthly Meeting

Members mark your calendar, and plan to attend the Friends of Chandor Gardens meeting on Wednesday, Sept 16, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Great Room at Chandor Gardens. Mix and mingle time will be from 11:00 to 11:30. Then starting at 11:30 AM, our guest speaker Monica Morrison will share with us the story of the five species of wild cats that currently or historically call Texas home: jaguars, mountain lions, bobcats, ocelots, and jaguarundis.

In 2017, Monica founded Texas Native Cats, a 501 (c)(3) for Texas' five cat species with the mission to provide education and outreach about wild felines that are native to the State of Texas, their history, characteristics, habitat, importance and future. Texas Native Cats gives these silent animals a voice.
